Review: (#1) A comfortable tease, but little more.

(#2) A bit more teasing, but this time it feels a bit more organic, though not better. (#3) We finally get to see the dragon even if the sky backdrop is surprisingly bland. (#4) A little more detail in the background and in the dragon, but it still isn’t that attractive.

(#5) The style is serviceable featuring solid color balance and highlighting the titular dragon, but doesn’t do much to make the film seem exciting, especially when compared with posters for something like How to Train Your Dragon.

Trailer Rating: D / C

Review: (#1) What makes this remake of the live-action/animated classic work isn’t evident in this trailer. With scenes and situations that feel like they were rejects from the scrip of The Jungle Book, you have to wonder what exactly their plans are.

(#2) A more detailed plot that makes this look like your generic Disney features with evil villains, good protagonists and only slightly tainted virtuous bystanders. If you’re looking for the Disney of the 1970s, this might be your best option.

Oscar Prospects:

It might be a Best Visual Effects contender, but the likelihood is minimal considering the first trailer.
