Review: (#1) It’s dull and uninspired. It’s pre-sold to fans of the Ip Man series, but that’s the only group it’s bound to appeal to. (#2) A teaser poster that is, again, designed to appeal to the pre-sold marketplace, which isn’t very broad in the United States. (#3-#8) These character designs have an interesting visual quality to them, but they aren’t much more effective than that as they seem almost listless in their inventiveness.

Review: If you’re a fan of Chinese martial arts films, then you’ll be completely impressed by this trailer. If you aren’t, its lack of an appearance of originality is incredibly telling.
