Review: If you already know who Hank Williams Sr. is, then perhaps this might appeal to you. Otherwise, it might have a slight interest to country music fans or Tom Hiddleston fans. That’s where the interests will likely end.

Review: The most intriguing thing that you can pick up from the trailer, but only if you’ve done your research, is that Tom Hiddleston does his own singing and sounds like a pretty convincing Hank Williams Sr…that is if the trailer features Tom’s singing or if it’s from Hank’s recordings. Regardless, for biopic fans, especially those who remember films like Coal Miner’s Daughter and Tender Mercies, this will have a great deal of appeal.
Oscar Prospects:
The fact that the film was pushed out of the 2015 Oscar competition suggests that it may not be as good as expected. However, other films have gotten a similar relocation and done quite well with Oscar. Tom Hiddleston would be the main reason the film goes anywhere Awards-wise.
