Review: (#1) Highlighting your lead and the disaster is an effective if unoriginal way to sell your movie. (#2) This teaser design is only going to appeal to fans of the book and to no one else. (#3) Like the first design, this focuses on the disaster and this time two of the film’s stars. It also has a much more post-apocalyptic feel to it than the other.

(#4) The disaster’s the thing. While attacking the London Bridge is a wise move if you’re trying to branch out and not destroy the typical U.S. landmarks, but without any human element, your film looks more like a disaster film than an alien invasion pic. (#5) Back to the first and third poster design elements with more variance, but no improvements. (#6) While it looks a bit like the first, third and fifth designs adding the rather hostile male character to the design off-sets the one-woman show that is otherwise evinced in the prior designs.

Review: It looks modestly promising, but there are so many elements from other films of the genre that it’s hard to get excited about a slightly modified retread. That may hinder its box office potential, especially if you aren’t already familiar with the book.
