Review: (#1) It sets some perspective, but may be a little too simple and sweet for its own good.
(#2) The studio isn’t taking many chances. While this establishes how innocuous the film is likely to be, it hardly generates a sense of adventure.

Review: (#1) Spielberg’s approach to kid-friendly entertainment always has the potential to impress. It’s nice to see him getting back to his roots.
(#2) The first was a teaser, but this digs a bit deeper into the premise, which gives the audience an firm idea of what to expect. With the Spielberg name attached, it’s sure to be popular.
(#3) We get far more of the plot, but that’s not necessarily a good thing. It has a lot of similarities to Adventures of Tintin and while that was a good film, having a primary character look like mediocre CGI isn’t going to help matters.
Oscar Prospects:
A kid-friendly Spielberg film will surely be a competitor in the techs and, if it’s any good, might even compete elsewhere.
