Poster: B- / C
Review: (#1) We start off with a design that looks like it falls in at the top end of action designs. It’s not particularly inventive or original, but it’s satisfactory. (#2) We finish off with an action-heavy, but excitement-minimal design that doesn’t seem as intense or inviting as it did in the first poster.
Trailer: D+
Review: So many trailers go the establishment route, setting up the film’s entire revenge premise quickly and pointlessly. They don’t care that we’ve seen this exact same scenario play out in countless films before, thus making the first, and likely only, introduction the audience has to the film, a design that makes them instantly forget it.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
