Review: (#1) While I’m not sure how this design has anything to do with the film itself, it’s a beautiful design. (#2) This is a more honest look at the film’s premise and it does so with creativity and inventiveness.
Trailer: B- / B
Review: (#1) This is the trailer that was first shown in theaters making it seem like a very straight forward and heavily religious film. That may appeal to some viewers, but not everyone. (#2) With the film’s second trailer, producers seem willing to try and target a broader audience, especially those interested in uplifting stories. That it delves further into the concept of anti-Japanese American sentiment gives it a more down-to-earth and compelling feel than general hokum like this film might still be.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
