Synopsis:

Review: (#1) This design is intriguing, but perhaps too visually simplistic for discerning tastes. (#2) There’s almost nothing to this design, but it has a simple concept that is visually represented even if not sensationally so.

(#3) Taking a scene from a film and adding “artful” lines and blurs and futuristic elements just doesn’t make for good poster design. (#4) Unlike the third design, this one goes a bit more overboard, but has some more stylistic flourishes that work better on the whole. (#5) It’s hard to be enamored with a design that tries too hard to make this an action film and steals every cheap action poster design small, direct-to-video-likely films use.

Review: Tarsem’s films always look intriguing and this one is no exception. This quasi-futuristic sci-fi exploration of immortality and personal psyche has so much promise that it’s almost impossible for the film to live up to those expectations.

Oscar Prospects:

There was a time when Tarsem was the kind of director I’d predict for tech awards. However, after his last films failed to get nominations, it seems he might have had a one-off success. Besides, as futuristic as the concept of the film sounds, the design looks fairly modern, so I doubt it will materialize any attention.
