Release Date:
February 20, 2015
Synopsis:
From IMDb: “A high school senior instigates a social pecking order revolution after finding out that she has been labeled the DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) to her prettier more popular friends.”
Poster: C- / D / C (4)
Review: (#1) A corny, uninteresting, unimaginative design that I don’t see appealing to many. (#2) Even less original than the first poster, it’s almost saved by its tagline. (#3) These character posters aren’t very detailed, descriptive or informative. Perhaps they’ll get auds interested, but I doubt it.
Trailer: C / C- / C
Review: (#1-#3) Each of the three trailers explains the plot in detail, but they are all distinctive enough to stand on their own. What’s most interesting is that #3 is far more interested in re-arranging edits from the first trailer, putting new spins on the dialogue in each trailer, which showcases how frustrated they were with the first trailer design.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
Revisions:
