Synopsis:
From IMDb: “Newlywed couple Ted and Tami-Lynn want to have a baby, but in order to qualify to be a parent, Ted will have to prove he’s a person in a court of law.”
Poster: C / D / C / C- / D
Review: (#1) Not nearly a much fun as the producers probably hope that it is.
(#2) Cheap and unimpressive take on a national trend without apparently needing to be funny. (#3) More in tune with the film’s general concept, but still an uneventful design. Unfortunately, it’s the only design that puts the film in the real world. (#4) There’s nothing so boring as a white background without a foreground that’s catching. This is almost dreadful. (#5) If I could read the words on the poster, it might make it funnier, but overall the design is lackluster, bland and forgettable.
Trailer: B+
Review: As disposable as much of the comedy in the trailer is, it’s nevertheless funny while not being so crude as to turn off a broader audience. That’s a bit misleading considering the predecessor, but it might be humorous enough to draw the original fans back and pick up a few more in the process.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
