Review: Mathieu Amalric is a fascinating actor, but nothing about this film leaps out at the audience as a requirement for seeing it. The tension is stunted and plodding. The sense of purpose and intrigue is minimal. The entire thing feels like bargain basement French cinema, which all indication suggest it shouldn’t be.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
