Poster: B / B- / B- (4)
Review: There isn’t a lot of tonal difference between these designs, which helps to keep them cohesive. They are dark and at times frightening. The first poster is the best since it doesn’t over rely on sexy young women to hawk itself. That doesn’t mean the tactic won’t be effective, especially since the film looks like a horror-driven Telenovella.
Trailer: C
Review: The plot is hardly touched, focusing on attractive women facing down seemingly supernatural threats and being generally afraid. The action seems light and, apart from Hispanic audiences who might be more familiar with the 1975 original, there’s just not enough to latch onto and make the film a hit.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
