There are two new wide releases this week, heist flick Takers and exorcist horror flick The Last Exorcism, and a new limited release, Roman conquering flick Centurion. It’s also an ultra-rare perfect strike out.
Consensus
Below is a list of what we have come to a general consensus on. The number in parens represents the percentage of our contributors who agree with the statement.
Takers: No one wants to see it (100%) or push it for Oscars (100%).
The Last Exorcism: It’s a horror failure with no one wanting to watch it (100%) and horror just isn’t Oscar’s thing (100%).
Centurion: Not all limited releases are watchable (100%) and it’s not going to trigger an Oscar watch either (100%).

ThoughtsI like horror films, but I’ve never been a fan of films regarding exorcism or demon possession. So, this one fits onto my “no watch” list. |
ThoughtsThis is a low budget horror flick in the “tradition” of The Blair Witch Project, an internet hyped piece of amateurish nonsense of eleven years ago that had me wanting to throw something at the screen. I have no intention of sitting through anything that remotely reminds of that painful experience. |
