Poster: C / C-
Review: This is a pair of posters that can’t generate much excitement. The second has some festivals listed, but doesn’t otherwise tell us why the film is important. The first poster tries a little harder to convey that, but still represents a lack of genuine creative distinctiveness.
Trailer: B+
Review: An unconventional Polish drama about a young girl preparing to become a nun while not realizing her Jewish heritage. The concept is definitely original and the black-and-white sets it during the past effectively while leaving a shred of mystery that might propel and audience to see it.
Oscar Prospects:
Ineligible.
