Poster: B- / B-
Review: I’m not really sure where the bowling alley comes into the equation. I don’t recall seeing it in the trailer. Regardless, the two designs are unoriginal, but interesting. They try to play the film off as something unique, an inspiration drawn from the cheesy action films of the 1970’s.
Trailer: C
Review: The trailer expands on the aesthetic established in the posters, conjuring images of exploitation films of the past, suggesting a film that may be a lot more fun than how it reads on paper. That said, the action and comedy in the trailer aren’t terribly engaging and the concept wears thin very quickly.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
