Synopsis:

From IMDb: “As a cowardly farmer begins to fall for the mysterious new woman in town, he must put his newfound courage to the test when her husband, a notorious gun slinger, announces his arrival.”

Review: (#1-#8) The first design is a foundation, but feels unnecessarily bland. The following seven character posters build on this aesthetic employing a handful of witty phrases to describe the individuals being displayed.

(#9-#12) Poster #9 would probably be the best overall design were it not missing one of the four actors listed at the bottom of the poster. This is rectified with poster #12, which I find mildly amusing since Amanda Seyfried isn’t much of a box office draw, but I’m sure she was miffed when she didn’t appear on that original poster. The tenth design is a cheesy one-liner kind of poster that might be fun to hang in your bedroom, but isn’t good for much else. The eleventh looks too much like the previous character posters.

Review: I like Seth MacFarlane and his humor, even when its a tad repetitive, but this Blazing Saddles wannabe lacks emotional depth, genuine laughs or compelling storylines. The anachronistic elements conjure further images of Mel Brooks’ seminal film, which only makes this effort seem cheaper and less interesting.
