Review: Live-action role-players unwittingly conjure something genuinely magical which they have to defeat. There was a children’s cartoon series in the 1980s based on the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game of the same name. Since then, it has managed to rebuild its image as something less diabolical and more mentally invigorating. This trailer turns that good favor around and makes it look like a cheap, lame attempt to hitch onto a trend.
