Press Release: Colin Firth and Emma Stone to Star in Woody Allen’s “Blue Jasmine”

WOODY ALLEN’S NEW COMEDY TO STAR COLIN FIRTH & EMMA STONE

NEW YORK (April 30, 2013) – Woody Allen’s new, untitled comedy will star Colin Firth and Emma Stone. The Gravier Productions film is produced by Allen’s longtime associates, Letty Aronson and Stephen Tenenbaum.

Set in the South of France, Allen will shoot the film this summer, once again collaborating with cinematographer Darius Khondji (MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, TO ROME WITH LOVE), production designer Anne Seibel (MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, TO ROME WITH LOVE) and costume designer Sonia Grande (MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, TO ROME WITH LOVE and VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA).

This latest film marks Allen’s second time filming in France and his eighth set in Europe. His previous European films are: TO ROME WITH LOVE (Rome), MIDNIGHT IN PARIS (Paris), YOU WILL MEET A TALL DARK STRANGER (London), VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA (Barcelona), CASSANDRA’S DREAM (London), SCOOP (London) and MATCH POINT (London).

Allen’s upcoming film, BLUE JASMINE, will be released on July 26 by Sony Pictures Classics.

Sales to Commence in Cannes on the Action Thriller from Screenwriter James Crow

May 2, 2013, Los Angeles, CA – Content Film, a division of Content Media Corporation, will handle worldwide sales on Paul Tanter‘s (THE RISE AND FALL OF A WHITE COLLAR HOOLIGAN, JACK FALLS) SAS action thriller HE WHO DARES commencing in Cannes later this month. With a script from James Crow (G.B.H., THE WARNING), the film stars Tom Benedict Knight (KICK ASS 2), Simon Phillips (U.F.O., WHITE COLLAR HOOLIGAN 2), Christina Bellavia (“Doctors”), and Ewan Ross (AGE OF HEROES, THE FALL OF THE ESSEX BOYS). Described as a cross between THE RAID and DIE HARD, HE WHO DARES is produced by Tanter’s London-based Runaway Features, alongside Anthony Maxwell, Patrick Maxwell and Alain Wildbreger.

Currently in post-production, HE WHO DARES centers on the Special Air Service (SAS), Britain’s elite Special Forces unit, which takes on a group of ruthless terrorists who have expertly orchestrated the kidnapping of the Prime Minister’s daughter.

JONES, which both recently world premiered at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival; Anthony Leonardi III’s NOTHING LEFT TO FEAR starring Anne Heche and produced by former Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist Slash; Kieran Parker’s OUTPOST III: RISE OF THE SPETSNAZ; Sean McNamara’s SPACE WARRIORS starring Danny Glover and Mira Sorvino; Sebastián Silva’s CRYSTAL FAIRY starring Michael Cera and Stacie Passon’s CONCUSSION starring Robin Weigert which both world premiered in Sundance earlier this year.
