Last Week’s Results

Tom Cruise stormed back to the box office with more than $37 million with his sci-fi pic Oblivion. Scary Movie V performed far better in its second week than most expected while The Place Beyond the Pines did well in its first wider release, but not nearly as well as some had hoped. Meanwhile, Jackie Robinson biopic 42 continued to hit home runs, making a slight drop in its second weekend.
