Review: (#1, C+) The “Satan” references are a little to innocuous for their own good. It’s clear the designer wants to lean into the Christmas conceit with a Santa-tinged design but it betrays the film’s premise a bit much, especially with the tacky flame in the lower left.

Review: (#1, C) Jack Black’s films are hit-or-miss and while there are elements in the trailer that suggest the film could be a hit, every joke and situation feels so obvious and sometimes mean-spirited and that doesn’t endear a film to the audience who might otherwise turn up. The bullying nature of some of the scenes might further alienate those who don’t want to see that kind of situation on screen.
