WIDE RELEASES

JOKER: FOLIE ร€ DEUX

MONSTER SUMMER

WHITE BIRD

Joker: Folie ร  Deux

Wesley Lovell: The first film was basically a movie to make incels feel better about themselves. The sequel doesn’t look like it will be any different.

Peter J. Patrick: Will see mostly out of curiosity but I’m not expecting much.

Thomas La Tourrette: I might have to see this if it gets some Oscar nominations, but I did not really like the first film and this looks to be a poorer sequel.

Monster Summer

Wesley Lovell: It looks like a cheap version of Stranger Things with the odious Mel Gibson in tow.

Peter J. Patrick: No interest in this week’s major horror film.

Thomas La Tourrette: There was not much in the trailer to excite interest in this film.

White Bird

Wesley Lovell: This film has been in distribution limbo for a few years now, so I have little hope that it’s any good.

Peter J. Patrick: Story sounds interesting, depends on how well it’s handled.

Thomas La Tourrette: This might turn out to be okay, but I will need to see some positive reviews to make me see it.

LIMITED RELEASES

DAAAAAALI!

FRANKIE FREAKO

THE OUTRUN

THE PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE

THINGS WILL BE DIFFERENT

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: A few of these could be interesting but nothing looks especially good.

Peter J. Patrick: Nothing really pops but if I had to pick one it would be The Outrun for Saoirse Ronana.

Thomas La Tourrette: The Outrun looks to be the best of a tepid bunch, and that if more from what I’ve heard of Saoirse Ronan’s performance than a trailer which did not exactly sell the movie. Daaaaaali! might prove okay but seems weird for its own sake.
