WIDE RELEASES

AZRAEL

BAGMAN

LEE

MEGALOPOLIS

THE WILD ROBOT

Azrael

Wesley Lovell: It doesn’t look like anything we haven’t seen before.

Peter J. Patrick: No interest.

Thomas La Tourrette: It just did not look like that interesting a movie.

Bagman

Wesley Lovell: Another of those formulaic horror films trying to create a new dominant supernatural serial killerโ€ฆwithout seeming to succeed.

Peter J. Patrick: Seems a better bet than Azrael if you’re looking for a horror movie.

Thomas La Tourrette: A bad horror film does not entice me.

Lee

Wesley Lovell: While the subject matter seems interesting, the trailers have failed to fully sell it to me.

Peter J. Patrick: Long-delayed Lee Miller biopic looks interesting.

Thomas La Tourrette: It looks to be a top-notch performance by Kate Winslet, but it sounds like just a so-so film. Pity.

Megalopolis

Wesley Lovell: I was excited for this film until the buzz around the film died at Cannes. Then there’s the allegations (with photos) against Francis Ford Coppola.

Peter J. Patrick: Curious to see if it is as bad as the early reviews made it out to be.

Thomas La Tourrette: I have mixed feelings about this from the trailer, but it does look like an event movie. I just wish the reviews were better.

The Wild Robot

Wesley Lovell: The animation is gorgeous even if the trailer makes the plot look predictable.

Peter J. Patrick: The early front-runner for this year’s Best Animation Feature Oscar is a must-see

Thomas La Tourrette: The first trailer was magical, but a subsequent one made it look like many an animated film. I will hope it is more like the first trailer.

LIMITED RELEASES

AMBER ALERT

THE LINE

SATURDAY NIGHT

SLEEP

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: Saturday Night is the only one of these I have any amount of interest in.

Peter J. Patrick: Only Saturday Night makes my must-see list here.

Thomas La Tourrette: Saturday Night has the possibility of being entertaining, especially for those old enough to remember the start of the show. I am not sure if it will hold enough interest otherwise. Sleep had a dull trailer, but the reviews make it seem that it may be worth seeing.
