Review: (#1, C-) The background is hard to parse, looking both real and painted. While the central figure being a core element to the design is appropriate, it’s a poorly-chosen image that doesn’t tell the viewer much at all.
(#2, C) A shot from the film turned into a poster. It’s a pretty lazy choice, especially when the title and lettering don’t pull from the image in any appealing way.
Trailer Rating: C

Review: (#1, C) The story of an alcoholic trying to turn her life around is familiar and uncomplicated and in spite of all the praise plastered on the screen, nothing in the trailer suggests something of stellar importance.
Oscar Prospects:
Saoirse Ronan has been deserving of Oscar recognition for a while and with this and another release, she could be a major contender. The problem is that this film feels a bit too commonplace to be become her Oscar opus.
