Review: (#1, B-) A very lovely scene that captures the beauty of the animation but it feels surprisingly lifeless. (#2, C) Even less life to this design and the difference between the richly detailed backdrop and the weakly drawn foreground figure makes it look out of place. (#3, C) The cheap-looking animation style of the characters against a backdrop of serene beauty only makes the dichotomy more obvious and less inspired.
Trailer Rating: C+

Review: (#1, C+) The animation is simplistic in ways and beautiful in others. That it looks like a number of other films about castaway children makes it difficult to see the film as anything terribly special.
Oscar Prospects:
It will be a contender on the periphery of the Animated Feature contest, but I don’t expect it to overcome some of this year’s other contenders for a spot.
