WIDE RELEASES

ALIEN: ROMULUS

MY PENGUIN FRIEND

SKINCARE

Alien: Romulus

Wesley Lovell: This looks like a return to what made the original film great and that’s something to be seen and celebrated.

Peter J. Patrick: Nothing we haven’t seen before.

Thomas La Tourrette: The trailer is effectively creepy but it will be interesting to see what a different director does with it.

My Penguin Friend

Wesley Lovell: A cheesy penguin film that doesn’t look particularly engaging.

Peter J. Patrick: I’m always happy to see a nice penguin story.

Thomas La Tourrette: It looks cute but perhaps a little cloying.

Skincare

Wesley Lovell: I like Elizabeth Banks but this looks a bit too corny for my tastes.

Peter J. Patrick: Doesn’t look very interesting.

Thomas La Tourrette: Maybe Elizabeth Banks and Nathan Fillion are interesting actors, but the film does not look that exciting.

LIMITED RELEASES

THE DELIVERANCE

THE GREATEST SURF MOVIE IN THE UNIVERSE

MOUNTAINS

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: While there are degrees of interest here, I can’t say I’m looking forward to any of them.

Peter J. Patrick: Only Mountains looks like something worth seeing, but The Deliverance at least has an interesting cast.

Thomas La Tourrette: Mountains looks to be the best of a weak week’s worth of movies. Close to You might be okay but the rest look awful.
