While I doubt MaXXXine will do that well at the box office, Despicable Me 4 is the one title that I could see dislodging Inside Out from the top box office spot.

OTHER RELEASES

We are only looking at films that have had trailers released on Rotten Tomatoes’ trailer YouTube Channels. Below are some other films that are releasing this weekend that we haven’t considered.

Boneyard (Limited)
Escape (Limited)
Goldilocks and the Two Bears (Limited)
The Secret Art of Human Flight (Limited)
Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot (Wide)

WIDE RELEASES

MAXXXINE

Despicable Me 4

Wesley Lovell: I’ve been a fan of the series before but I wonder if it’s faded a bit too much.

Peter J. Patrick: I wasn’t too fond of the first one and avoided the second and third ones but with the dearth of good comedies these days, animated or otherwise, I might give this one a chance.

Thomas La Tourrette: The series has suffered from diminishing returns, so I don’t hold out much hope for this one.

MaXXXine

Wesley Lovell: I’ve heard great things about these films but I haven’t seen any of them yet.

Peter J. Patrick: I haven’t seen either of the first two films that make up the horror trilogy of which this is the last part and don’t have any desire to rush out to see this one.

Thomas La Tourrette: I have not seen the prior two films in the series and nothing about this one sounds appealing.

LIMITED RELEASES

DEAD WHISPER

KILL

MOTHER, COUCH

MURDER COMPANY

THE NATURE OF LOVE

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: Nothing of interest this week.

Peter J. Patrick: Nothing here for me.

Thomas La Tourrette: None of the films look that interesting. Mother Couch and The Nature of Love look the best of the bunch, which isn’t saying much. If their reviews are good, they might merit a look.
