Review: (#1, C+) The yellow starlight/fire trail element is overbearing and while it conveys an interesting image of floating photographs, it does very little to tell the audience what kind of film they are seeing. Anime fans will likely find enough here to appeal but for many others, there isn’t enough. (#2, C) While this is less vibrant than the predecessor, it has a few more elements that might generate some interest in the viewer. That said, there’s far too much empty space here.

Trailer Rating: C+

Review: (#1, C+) Kids eventually forget their imaginary friends but those imaginary figures don’t want to be forgotten. The concept is simple and could be more effective than Ryan Reynolds’ IF but unless you enjoy anime films, you probably aren’t going to get much out of this.

Oscar Prospects:

There might be some room in Animated Feature this year but will it be this anime or another or none of them?
