Inside Out 2 will have no viable competitor for the top of the box office as another exorcism movie and a biker movie are its only competition with The Bikeriders being new enough a concept for modern audiences to make a better result as the top new wide release.

The Bikeriders

Wesley Lovell: I like Tom Hardy but don’t care for Austin Butler, so this one might be a wash for me.

Peter J. Patrick: Early reviews have been strong, making it something of a must-see.

Thomas La Tourrette: The film looks a bit violent but the strong cast does make me want to see it.

The Exorcism

Wesley Lovell: As much as the concept could be intriguing, it has been poorly sold by making it look like yet another exorcism film.

Peter J. Patrick: Looks like another bad horror movie.

Thomas La Tourrette: It starts looking like any other horror movie and it just doesn’t interest me.

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: Two with potential, two without.

Peter J. Patrick: I’m curious about the highly hyped Kinds of Kindness and Thelma.

Thomas La Tourrette: I am intrigued by Kinds of Kindness just because Yorgos Lanthimos’ last film was so good. The trailer does not excite and is more confusing than anything, but I’ll still see it. Thelma looks cute though nothing more, but boasts a fun turn by June Squibb. The other two releases do not look very interesting.
