This is the defining moment for Pixar. One of their last major box office hits will either show that Pixar can become the vaunted paragon it used to be at the box office or if Disney destroyed their box office magic indefinitely by streaming everything during the pandemic.

Inside Out 2
Wesley Lovell: Inside Out was one of the last great Pixar features of their golden era. I can’t help but be interested in their latest effort.
Peter J. Patrick: While I thought the original was overrated, the sequel looks like it could be a fun outing.
Thomas La Tourrette: This should be a fun sequel.

The Limited Slate
Wesley Lovell: A handful of entries with potential but also a lot of detritus.
Peter J. Patrick: Only Ghostlight and Reverse the Curse jump out at me with Tuesday a strong maybe and Ride and Treasure outside possibilities.
Thomas La Tourrette: Family dramas seem to be the releases of the week. Tuesday and perhaps Ghostlight look to be the best of the bunch. Some of the others might be okay but look more painful than interesting.
