Review: (#1, C+) While there’s not a lot of background detail, the designer clearly wanted to make sure there wasn’t a lot of empty space. Unfortunately, just filling it with venom’s tendrils doesn’t give it the flair intended, especially when Tom Hardy’s back seems to be missing. A Rorschach inkblot this is not.
(#2, C) A stark design giving setting and character but without energy or excitement or creativity.
(#3, C) The venomous horse is obviously a selling point of this film and while Venom itself is the fore-figure, but the background is dull as dishwater. (#4-#11) A series of rarely similar format designs that leave very little impression on the viewer other than to mix up the dull color schemes employed in other designs for this film. (#12) This tells the viewer much about the film but is so dull in some of its background details that it’s almost forgettable. The cheap-looking PhotoShopping is overly aggressive. (#13-#18) While I might normally review each of these designs individually since they are all relatively unique, none of the excels where the others don’t, so talking about their dullness and uninteresting deviations in a combined way is the only recourse.

Review: (#1, C+) If you were a fan of the first film and the second film disappointed, this trailer isn’t going to alleviate your concern. It appears to be more of the same without much to distinguish itself from its predecessors. Some of the humor lands and some of the action violence is interesting. Unfortunately, the overall effect is to generate minimal interest in the film.
(#2, C+) A few more bits of humor than the first trailer and they are some interesting moments but the brief references to the plot don’t tell the audience what to expect from the film. Being the last or perhaps one of the last trailers released, that’s not much of a selling point.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
