With the tepid opening numbers last weekend, it’s possible the top position will swap but this week’s new wide release, none of them are likely be taking the top spot. Summer Camp and Haikyu!! have the potential to be the top new wide release but In a Violent Nature could surprise.

Ezra
Wesley Lovell: It looks very dull and predictable despiste the pedigree.
Peter J. Patrick: May not be a great film but it looks like a genuine crowd-pleaser.
Thomas La Tourrette: A family bonding movie set on a road trip has been done many times before. This has some added drama, but does not look that interesting.
Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle
Wesley Lovell: Not even remotely in my wheelhouse.
Peter J. Patrick: Seems decent enough but the excessively loud trailer was a turnoff for me.
Thomas La Tourrette: It looks like a bad anime film and a volleyball match does not seem that exciting.
In a Violent Nature
Wesley Lovell: It reminds me too much of Friday the 13th, so my interest is nil.
Peter J. Patrick: Another grade Z horror movie.
Thomas La Tourrette: A slasher film is just not my favorite and this looks like a very violent one.
Summer Camp
Wesley Lovell: I love the actors but I hate the premise.
Peter J. Patrick: Another so-called comedy wasting the talents of once great actresses playing silly old ladies.
Thomas La Tourrette: I imagine it will be a lame buddy comedy which will waste a great cast.

The Limited Slate
Wesley Lovell: Handling the Undead is the one closest to my interest. The rest are mostly uninspired or with small potential.
Peter J. Patrick: The animated Robot Dreams looks to be the best of these.
Thomas La Tourrette: Most of the new releases look ordinary. Handling the Undead could be intriguing as it has an interesting plot. The Oscar nominated Robot Dreams looks to be a true winner which I actively want to see.
