Review: (#1, C) The colors are aggressive even if they are intended to be softer hues and the figure in the foreground doesn’t compel the viewer to embrace the film itself.

Review: (#1, B) The trailer feels a bit dull in spots owing to the lack of a magnetic central performance but the literary elements are top notch and any one interested in the creative process of a modestly depressed woman might find something intriguing here.

Oscar Prospects:

Were this releasing in the later parts of the year, we might think it has some potential. A May release, however, suggests the studio has little faith in its chances so we shouldn’t have any either.
