Review: (#1, B-) Normally a largely empty black background is a distraction, but in this case it does fit with the film’s premise. It’s still a bit lackluster in its lack of info.
(#2, C) While it’s a better pop of color than the prior, it’s still lacking in details.
Trailer Rating: B- / C+

Review: (#1, B-) For young kids, there might be an element to this trailer that carries some appeal. That said, it doesn’t seem like the kind of movie that would interest kids who suffer from those fears, the entire purpose of a film like this.
(#2, C+) Getting the plot laid out is important, but don’t forget to make it exciting and enticing. That’s where this trailer goes off the rails.
Oscar Prospects:
DreamWorks has a chance with an original story to nab an Animated Feature nomination, but the early release suggests it’s not going to be a player.
