The Gotham Awards don’t have a lot of influencing power over the Oscars, but their choices can shine a light on the films that are at least under consideration for Oscar nominations. With their wins here, both The Lost Daughter and CODA have strong claims to being competitors. I imagine The Lost Daughter has more potential, especially with Oscar winner Olivia Colman still riding high in Hollywood. That Best Feature win is a boon as well.
