Review: It has all the characters in the film and a backdrop that doesn’t appear to come from the film itself. Combine that with the obvious implantation of figures next to Hanks and you have something that feels genuinely shabby.

Review: With a flair for the dramatic and perhaps too much information about the plot of the film, the trailer ultimately ends up being appealing rather than disengaging. Though, perhaps Tom Hanks being a lone survivor is a concept that needs to be put to bed.

Oscar Prospects:

Could be good for a Sound or Visual Effects nomination, but that’s likely it. They might push Hanks for another nomination for a lone-survivor kind of performance, but I doubt it happens again.
