Surprisingly little attention was paid the the Producers Guild of America’s documentary nominations. Of course, they were supposed to be announced today, but were revealed yesterday. While awards leader Dick Johnson Is Dead made the list, as did popular winner Time, both All In: The Fight for Democracy and John Lewis: Good Trouble, thought to be contenders this year, were completely left off. One should always take this list with a grain of salt as the PGA tends to promote success over quality when making their selections, though sometimes they throw in a curve ball like Softie.
