Review: (#1) There are a lot of details here and while elements feel quite cluttered, the information presented is interesting enough to stave off boredom. (#2) There’s a suggestion here of what the film’s about that isn’t well supported by the trailers, which makes the design questionable.

Review: (#1) The plot comes through rather well, except that a few late-minute elements in the trailer call into question everything before it as well as whether or not the film will be as interesting as it hopes. (#2) The second trailer doesn’t do a great job conveying the films premise, but it’s notably less confusing in places, though the joy and inspiration of the first trailer is tamped down a bit.
Oscar Prospects:
It’s one of almost three-dozen films submitted for Oscar consideration this year. There are a lot of competitors and which of the independent releases will make the final cut is anyone’s guess, but this is an inventive enough premise that it could.
