Review: (#1) It ties into the title, but is that enough to make it compelling? No.
(#2) While it may speak to the film’s premise, the colors are too dull being overexposed to light and the content is simply not as engaging as the designer had clearly hoped. (#3) There isn’t much to this design, but the brush strokes carry some depth and will draw the eye well even though there’s nothing much to draw the eye to.
Trailer Rating: B-

Review: This trailer presents a film that might have lesbian overtones, but looks like any number of other costume dramas that have been made in recent years.
Oscar Prospects:
France didn’t submit the film for consideration, choosing instead Les Misรฉrables. While the film has been well received by critics, there’s no conceivable in-roads the film could make with Oscar voters in other categories.
(What I Original Said: If submitted by France for Best International Film, it could be a contender.)
