Review: (#1) The V shape inset is a nice touch, but there’s a lot of wasted space and the background behind the ladies is a bit ugly.

(#2) It’s not far removed from the first design, though it lacks that work’s effort of creating something interesting. Even if the first poster ultimately failed, at least it tried.
