Review: (#1) Sarah Connor is back. This design might have a baseline appeal to fans of the series, but the structure, construction, and color scheme don’t work that well.

(#2) Perhaps enough to entice fans of the film series, but not enough to be interesting. (#3) A suitable color palette, but there’s a lot of wasted space and the actiony elements aren’t that exciting. (#4) Shifting the issues to the left side of the poster doesn’t improve anything except the overall balance of the design.

(#5-#8) This series of character posters are dull and uninspiring. (#9) A weak backdrop and cheap layout make for a standard-issue IMAX poster design. (#10) Not too dissimilar from the prior design, but now entirely cluttered. (#11) A simple design that clues in the audience to what the film audience is expecting, but without a compelling design.

Trailer Rating: B / B

Review: (#1) For fans of the franchise, this trailer has just enough interesting details to draw that entire fandom to the theater while leaving a few questions about the plot necessity of the film.

(#2) The premise is finally coming into focus and it certainly fits within the Terminator universe as we know it. There are certainly some compelling moments, but there’s also a bit of mediocrity within.

Oscar Prospects:

Some technical nominations might be in order, but wins will be dependent on competition.
