Not a lot of unexpected choices from Atlanta, with several prominent contenders making showings. What’s interesting is that Favourite won Picture, but Roma won Director. This seems to be a trend of recent years not too dissimilar from the Academy where Picture and Director split, something almost unthinkable through the 1980s and 1990s and even into the 2000s.
