Review: (#1) While I’m often impressed with attempts to slide a gimmick into a poster design, this one has both clever (the visage in the blood) and crass (the broken glasses with the shatter in the shape of a swastika. It’s a design that is both subtle and obvious and that’s not always a great combination. (#2-#3) This pair of character posters attempts to use a technique I’ve seen used frequently, but seldom well. Chalk these up in the “not well” column.
Trailer Rating: B- / B

Review: (#1) There are plenty of good dramas that have come out of the horrifying period of world history known as the Final Solution, and this film looks like it might join them, but it also feels a bit too much like Munich and Valkyrie albeit from entirely different angles of each.
(#2) Trying to focus less on the operation that brought Adolf Eichmann to trial in Isreal for his roll in the Holocaust. While it looks like both Ben Kingsley and Oscar Isaac dig into their roles, the film doesn’t look nearly as appealing as it should, though perhaps intriguing enough.
Oscar Prospects:
The subject matter is Oscar catnip and if the film is even remotely good, it will be a major player.
