Synopsis:
From IMDb: “An exhilarating mix of dark comedy, white-knuckle action and dramatic intrigue, Gringo joyrides into Mexico, where mild-mannered businessman Harold Soyinka (David Oyelowo) finds himself at the mercy of his back-stabbing business colleagues back home, local drug lords and a morally conflicted black-ops mercenary. Crossing the line from law-abiding citizen to wanted criminal, Harold battles to survive his increasingly dangerous situation in ways that raise the question: Is he out of his depth – or two steps ahead?”

Review: (#1) A compelling concoction of leafy elements that make it look rich with detail even if it’s repetitive in places.
(#2-#9) These character posters involve unique backgrounds, unique art embellishments and unique character portrait. They also tie into the primary poster, which is what work best.
Trailer Rating: C+ / F / B-

Review: (#1 & #2) The red band trailer is just a profanity-laced version of the first trailer, making it worthless. The main trailer, however, is somewhat fun and suggests that the audience might just have a good time at the theater watching it even if it isn’t worth much in the end.
(#3) This trailer explains a bit more about the plot than the first, but where it excels is by infusing it with a lot more humor, which makes it feel quite a bit more interesting.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
