Review: (#1) A very warm trailer, though the tagline doesn’t quite fit the film’s theme.
(#2) This pretty much says all it needs to about the film, doesn’t it? Or does it? (#3) A blurry, ugly design that does not sell the film well at all.
(#4) There isn’t a lot to this design, but it has thrills and an interesting concept and that’s what makes a decent advertising tool. (#5) On the other hand, the only real reason to feature Chris Pratt and Blue here is to try to say “Chris Pratt is in this movie and we’re loosely connected to the prior film.” It’s a dull design. (#6) While I’ve heard that the dinosaurs aren’t really the star of this particular film, this poster would suggest otherwise. Eschewing human actors, the dinosaurs are the primary reason for going and this poster does a solid job conveying that. (#7) Viewing the others through an open jaw with Blue seemingly acting in a protective way, would then suggest that the people she’s protecting are frightened, but they are just standing there looking stoic. Not a particularly notable construction.
Trailer Rating: B+ / C+ / C+

Review: (#1) As derivative as the first film felt to me, the sequel looks unique enough to be interesting and the impending secondary extinction concept could be quite engaging.
(#2 & #3) There aren’t a lot of differences between these two trailers. The first one is more of a tease to the second one. Meanwhile, the second one makes this look not only less interesting than the very first trailer they released, but also makes it look like yet another derivation of a prior film. The first Jurassic World was a stylistic replicate of the first film. This film looks like an almost stylistic replicate of the second film, which severely deadens my interest in it.
Oscar Prospects:
A tech contender in Sound Mixing, Sound Editing, and Visual Effects, but nowhere else.
