Oscar Chances: Unlikely: It could be possible for Viggo Mortensen to be a minor contender in Best Actor, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Oscar Chances: Unlikely: Although the film touches on a lot of areas that Academy members love, the film was released without much fanfare and hasn’t had much traction since. Rachel Weisz has too much competition, but Tom Wilkinson and Timothy Spall could be dark horse contenders.

Oscar Chances: Unknown: Although I think these TV-produced/released documentaries should be ineligible for the Oscars, this documentary did quite well with critics and I suspect that it will be a solid player at the Oscars this year.

Oscar Chances: Uncertain: This screener was sent out separately. Either Magnolia Pictures thinks it’s a solid competitor, or there’s some other logistical reason. I can’t really say that it sounds like a major player.
