For our last-minute viewing pleasure, Angelina Jolie’s second film, Unbroken, gets the screener treatment.
Unbroken
Stars: Jack O’Connell, Domhnall Glesson, Miyavi, Garrett Hedlund, Finn Wittrock
Director: Angelina Jolie
Premise: From IMDb: “A chronicle of the life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner who was taken prisoner by Japanese forces during World War II.”
Oscar Chances: Strong: Before it was screened, most felt that the film could easily be a major Oscar contender. After the screening, it seems our suspicion have been validated and the film seems poised for recognition in several categories. Critics don’t seem that impressed, but audiences don’t always agree with critics when it comes to inspirational stories like this.
