We start off Monday with an Oscar contender (True Grit) and a poster for a preview we highlighted last week (Wild Target).

TRUE GRIT

	Plot Summary: To avenge her father’s murder, a young orphan seeks out a legendary sheriff to help her track down his killer. Release Date: December 25, 2010

	Rating: B- Commentary: If westerns are your thing, this will be a very appealing trailer. Limited in violence, but full of interesting visuals, the preview should appeal to the Coen Bros. faithful as well as old time western enthusiasts. The younger and middle age audience may not be such an easy sale, however.	Rating: None Commentary: I don’t review placeholders.
	Trailer Link: Apple Trailers Oscar Chances: The Coens should no longer be taken for granted when it comes to Oscar. They managed a writing nomination and a Best Picture nomination last year for one of their minor (at least in terms of box office popularity) efforts. I expect at least that and probably a couple of acting nominations, including a surefire nod for Jeff Bridges.

WILD TARGET, poster

	Plot Summary: Protecting the con artist he was sent to kill, an assassin finds himself trapped in a comedy of errors with her and a young ward they picked up while escaping another assassin. Release Date: October 29, 2010

	Previous Preview: Wild Target	Rating: C+ Commentary: This isn’t a custody battle, though I guess the trailer does suggest some tug of war feeling for the young Rupert Grint. The poster is a bit drab and colorless despite having vivid red elements.
