It’s not a great title, but it looks like a fun, cerebral film.

Rating: A
Commentary: Even if you know nothing about the film when seeing this design, it’s unique imagery should send curious folk to find out more about the film. Knowing what the film’s about, the design carries additional thematic weight, which makes it a superbly effective design.
Rating: A-
Commentary: Toby Jones is often thrilling to watch and this chaotic trailer design should intrigue a lot of people. Whether they’ll like the actual film is unknown, but it’s oblique, bizarre and thoroughly fascinating.

Oscar Chances: It was criminal that Jones was overshadowed at the Oscars for playing Truman Capote by a buffoonish, poorly conveyed rendition of the charcter in a prior film. Jones’ performance was spot on there, but didn’t gain much traction. I don’t imagine this will be the film to break him through at the Oscars, but from the trailer alone it looks like a superb performance and, if there’s any justice, the film will at least be on shortlists for Sound Editing.
