On Thursday evening, August 1, 2019, I will be participating in an event for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Ozarks, a local chapter of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. More on them below.

We need to raise a ton of money to help this worthwhile cause and I want you to help me get there.

Below is a link to my page where you can donate any amount of money to the organization. To encourage my faithful readers to give to this organization, I’m going to offer some benefits for your donations.

Over the course of the next year, I will put together a list of films that I am guaranteed to watch even if they aren’t on my radar now. In a situation where an Oscar year is chosen, those films will be watched within the next two-to-three years depending on availability and number of Oscar years selected.

  • For every $5 raised, the donor will get to add one (1) film of their choice to my queue
  • If an individual donates $20, that person’s selections will be put at the top of the list in the order of donation size and they will get to add a bonus fifth (5th) film to the list
  • If an individual donates $100, that person will not only get their 25 selections on the list, they will get to select one (1) year from Oscar history that I will pledge to watch every non-documentary feature film nominated for the Oscar that year
  • For every $500 raised, all donors will get to participate in a poll (one vote per $5 donated) to determine what Oscar year I pledge to watch in addition to any individual $100 donation selections

DONATE HERE — DONATE HERE — DONATE HERE

Help me put up some solid numbers! Details subject to change depending on volume and other issues that I’m not presently thinking about.

Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential. As the nationโ€™s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (โ€œBigsโ€) and children (โ€œLittlesโ€), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
