The Casting Society of America knows how to spread their awards around, nominating 44 different films for its awards. Of note is that in the animation category, they surprisingly ignored Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and went with only four nominations. How some of the Big Budget films were selected is anyone’s guess, but a few curious omissions. Roma, presumably because it was foreign made, was not nominated. Neither were Oscar contenders The Favourite, Eighth Grade, First Reformed, or First Man.
